My First Stories

I started writing at a very young age. To show you how young, I have 3 very short stories from about second grade. I guess that makes me about 7 or 8 years old, give or take a month or two. The first one I remember, but the other two I had no idea until I found all three.
The Dog Who Ran Away

The teacher handed us a picture and told us to write about the picture. I was given a picture of a dog like the dog from the Little Rascals, except he had a solid patch around his eye, not just a circle.

The Dog Who Ran Away

One day a little dog came to stay with a farmer. The farmer had a turkey. The turkey said, "I want that food." So the dog said, "I will bite you." But the turkey chased the dog and the turkey kicked the dog in the eye. So from that day on the dog had a black eye.

A Father Dog

A Father Dog

I am a father dog. I say "bow-wow, bow-wow." I watch the house at night. Do you know what my name? If you don't know my name I will tell you my name, it is Spot. I have a mate. Do you know her name? Her name is Cindy.
